What happens to failed USD payments?

Updated over a week ago

If a transaction cannot be completed, the payment amount will be returned to the sender’s account. The returned amount and currency may vary depending on the reason for the failure.

Payment execution is unsuccessful

This payment could not be completed due to internal review considerations. As a result, the payout was not executed.

All payment funds, including any service fees (regardless of which party paid them), will be fully returned to your XREX account. No funds will be credited to the recipient’s bank account.

Payment has been executed but returned by the bank

If a payment has been successfully executed but is later returned by the receiving bank, the refunded amount may vary depending on the reason for the return.

We will determine the final refund amount at our sole discretion, which may include all payment funds after deducting any applicable service fees or bank charges.

Note on currency conversion for returned payments

If your payment involved currency conversion, the refunded payment amount may be returned in the converted currency. Any applicable service fees paid by you will be refunded in the original currency of payment.

  • Example: If you initiate a USD payment from your USDT balance, and a conversion of USDT to USD happens, the payment amount will be refunded in USD. Any service fees paid by you will be refunded in USDT.
